Full Moon Paddle

Would you like to organize a full moon paddle in your area? It's a wonderful way to enjoy the fun & thrill of stand up paddleboading. I recommend going with someone who knows the waterways, and only experienced paddlers should go. This is not a good time to teach a SUP lesson. Check the sunset & moonrise at http://www.thetimenow.com/.  It can be a little disappointing if you schedule your paddle for 6:30p.m., and the moon doesn't rise until 9:00p.m.!
Here are some things to consider when organizing your moonlight paddle:
  • flatwater (best to paddle in an enclosed bay, lagoon, or harbor)
  • partial to full moon (more light on waterway is better)
  • headlight or light on paddleboard
  • pfd and/or leash
  • paddleboard & paddle
