Code Of Ethics from Walk On Water: A Guide To Flat Water Stand Up Paddling" by Tim Ganly and Vie Binga

1. I will always respect the water and the tradition.

2. I will feel responsible and watch out for every life in and on the water.

3. I will always be aware of my surroundings.

4. I will always wear my leash and/or pfd in honor of the fellow paddlers who have died during this sport.

5. I will always commit to the stroke and pull myself towards the blade.

6. If I fall off the board, I will always persevere and get back on the board.

7. I will always look for new places to paddle.

8. I will stand up and paddle every day, even in my mind.

9. I will share my experience and pass on my enthusiasm to non-paddlers. -Inspired by surfing legend Shaun Tomson

What do the cities Seattle, Vancouver, Morro Bay, Newport, Ontario, Idaho, North Carolina all have in common? On March 26th, 2016 these 7 cities each have a team of paddlers ready to paddle 24hrs. for families battling cancer. Troy Nebeker of Monster and Sea, and the man behind the movement started this last year in Seattle, WA. "Last year we paddled for 24 hours and because of your support and kind hearts we filled 7 envelopes, helping families arm wrestling with cancer."

Most of us have seen and experienced this terrible disease in one form or another. It engulfs and consumes every family member, and not just the person with cancer. This year I am honored to be a part of The 24! I will be joining 5 other paddlers on the water in Newport, CA. Come out and cheer us on, or come keep us company on the water. Each of the 7 cities and teams will be raising $5,000 for local families battling cancer.
FIND YOUR CITY OR YOUR TEAM & DONATE HERE: 24-Monster and Sea.
